Avant New Fellow $50 eGift Card Join Promotion Terms and Conditions

1. Terms and conditions

  1. These terms and conditions (the Terms), as updated from time to time, are intended to govern the Avant new fellow $50 eGift card join promotion (the Promotion). The promoter of this Promotion is Avant Mutual Group limited ACN 123 154 898 (Avant). Participation in the Promotion is subject to these Terms.

2. Overview of the Promotion

  1. The Promotion is a promotional activity by which Eligible Entrants can receive a $50 Prezzee eGift card by purchasing an Avant practitioner indemnity insurance policy in accordance with these Terms.

3. Promotion Period

  1. The Promotion runs from 9:00am AEST, Tuesday 6 February 2024 to 5:00pm AEST, Friday 31 May 2024 (the Promotion Period).

4. Eligibility criteria

  1. The Promotion is only available to doctors who have obtained fellowship from their medical college in the period between 1 Jan 2022 and 31 May 2024 that are not deemed ineligible in accordance with clauses 5 and 6 below (Eligible New Fellows).
  2. Directors, management, contractors and employees of Avant and its associated entities, and immediate family members of each of these persons are ineligible to enter this Promotion. 
  3. Persons covered by an Avant practitioner indemnity insurance policy that was purchased prior to 6 February 2024 are ineligible to enter this Promotion.

5. Participation criteria

  1. To participate in the Promotion, Eligible New Fellows must, during the Promotion Period apply, be accepted for and purchase an Avant practitioner indemnity insurance policy and continue to hold this policy for at least 21 days. (the Eligible Entrant).

6. Promotion benefit

  1. Each Eligible Entrant will receive a $50 eGift card (the Promotion Benefit).
  2. The Promotion Benefit will be delivered by email. The email address will be the one provided by the Eligible Entrant when applying for the insurance policy. Avant will not be held responsible for undelivered Promotion Benefits due to incorrect email addresses being provided by the Eligible Entrant and no replacement will be provided.
  3. Avant shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any eGift cards, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Other conditions

  1. In participating in the Promotion, you acknowledge and agree as follows:

    i. this offer excludes all other promotional offers;
    ii. each Promotion Benefit must be taken as is and no compensation will be payable if an Eligible Entrant is unable to use the Promotion Benefit as stated. It is a condition of accepting a Promotion Benefit that the Eligible Entrant accepts the conditions of use of that Promotion Benefit;
    iii. You will abide by the terms and conditions pertaining to use of the Promotion Benefit;
    iv. lost, stolen, damaged or expired Promotion Benefits are not replaced nor refunded. Avant will make an effort to help the situation but replacements are not guaranteed; and
    iv. if for any reason any Promotion Benefit is not available it will be substituted with a prize of equal or greater value at Avant’s discretion, acting reasonably.
  2. Avant reserves the right to change the offer conditions or end the offer at any time without notice for the purposes of facilitating the continued operation of the Promotion.
  3. The Avant practitioner indemnity insurance policy is issued by Avant Insurance Limited ACN 003 707 471, AFSL 238765. Cover is subject to the full terms, conditions, definitions, exclusions and limits of the policy. Offer of insurance is subject to underwriting approval.
  4. Personal information collected through this Promotion will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting this Promotion, in addition to the purposes outlined to Eligible Entrants at the time of applying for the insurance policy. This may require disclosure to third parties, including local regulatory authorities and the Promoter’s agents or third party service providers, for the purpose of conducting the Promotion, or for promotional and marketing purposes (including for direct marketing) (Purpose).
  5. By entering this Promotion, Eligible Entrants consent to the use of their personal information for the Purpose, and that Avant may contact them for future marketing and material purposes without payment. Eligible Entrants agree that Avant may use this information for that purpose.
  6. Eligible Entrants may access, change or update their personal information by emailing Avant on memberservices@avant.org.au or by telephone at 1800 128 268 during office hours. A copy of Avant’s privacy policy is available at avant.org.au. The privacy policy contains information about how individuals may access or correct personal information or make a privacy related complaint.
