Workplace communication part one
Effective communication between colleagues, peers, support teams, supervisors and those you supervise is fundamental to the provision of patient care. Every day you will communicate with a peer whether it be a simple text message, a clinical handover or a discussion about workplace practices.
The fundamentals of good communication need to be applied to all interactions with colleagues, just as they are with patients. Interacting with your colleagues in the same open, professional and caring manner that you interact with your patients, supports optimal patient care.
