North Queensland Floods – Premium Relief: Assistance for Members impacted by flooding

At Avant, we stand with our members, especially in times of hardship. At a time of widespread damage due to the severe floods and storms in North Queensland, we want to provide additional help for Avant members.

For members adversely affected by the inclement weather, we may waive your medical indemnity premium for three months, without impacting your cover.

To be eligible for this assistance, members need to:

  • be working or living in an area impacted by the floods;
  • have a current Avant practitioner and/or practice policy;
  • be eligible for a Disaster Recovery Payment;

The current areas affected by this event can be found at North and Far North Tropical Low from January 2025.
