You’ll receive an email from Avant prompting you to set up your login details. 

  • Download the App from the App store on your device (iOS or Android) 
  • Login using the account you set up 
  • Start submitting your billings. We’ll look after the rest.

Yes. You can request a quote, along with informed financial consent, to be sent to a patient. Once completed, the quote can be converted into a billings entry, saving you from double handling patient information.

We can accept any arrears for processing, noting the following: 

  • Claims older than 2 years won’t be paid from Medicare or health funds 
  • If you weren’t health fund registered, we may not be able to get the account paid by the fund. However, we do attempt to get registration backdated as far as possible.
  • If information is not complete, it can be hard to source after an extended time.

You’ll receive monthly reports that outline: 

  • What has been billed 
  • What has been receipted 
  • What is outstanding.
  • Medicare and DVA typically processes electronic claims within 24-48 hours, with funds deposited directly to the practice or patient depending on the billing arrangement 
  • Health fund claims generally take 2-14 business days, though this can vary between funds and claim complexity 
  • Workcover claims generally take 4 weeks, though this can vary between claims.

Delays can occur where claims contain errors, missing information, or require manual review. Our billing process is designed to minimise these occurrences through accurate claim preparation and prompt follow-up on any rejected or held claims.
