Tailoring to your specialisation
We bring you tailored expertise to optimise your in-patient billing processes, covering anaesthetics, procedural radiology, and billings for surgeons, surgical assistants, psychiatrists, physicians and paediatricians.
Basic billing service: 3.28% + GST
Using our expertise and workflows, we assist doctors to register with Medicare and Health Funds. We will submit your billing items to insurers for No Gap, Medicare Bulk Billing and DVA Billing. Payments for these invoices will be made directly to your bank account and fees are only charged for invoices that have been paid.
Premium billing service: 4.92% + GST
Our ‘Premium Service’ includes the basic service, along with full account follow up, known gap and private billing. The ability to claim for Private (Non-Insured), International and Third-Party Billing (Transport Accident, WorkCover, NDIS) patients, and so much more.

· Download the App from the App store on your device (iOS or Android)
· Login using the account you set up.
· Start submitting your billings. We’ll look after the rest.
Simply take a photo of the patient label.
Yes. You can request a quote, along with informed financial consent, to be sent to a patient. Once completed, the quote can be converted into a billings entry, saving you from double handling patient information.
We can accept any arrears for processing, noting the following:
· Claims older than 2 years won’t be paid from Medicare or health funds.
· If you weren’t health fund registered, we may not be able to get the account paid by the fund. However, we do attempt to get registration backdated as far as possible.
· If information is not complete, it can be hard to source after an extended time.
You’ll receive monthly reports that outline:
· What has been billed
· What has been receipted
· What is outstanding
· Summary of income – for tax purposes.
Disclaimers
Merchant or Banking Fees are not included.
Non-standard Billings Reports are charged per request, minimum $35 + GST or $35 + GST per 15 minutes administration time or part thereof.
Gap-billing where Avant Practice Solutions is taking payment from patients requires access to a virtual terminal (e.g. Medipass).
Where submitted patient data is incomplete an additional fee of $6 + GST may be charged per patient. Lower fees for the Medical Bookkeeping Service apply when customers have existing Xero accounting software registration.
Fees are reviewed annually on 1st July, with consideration for the CPI and published AMA Cost of Practice Index.
