Meet the team: Julie Hawkins, Senior Manager, HR Advisory

Julie Hawkins is our dedicated HR Advisory Senior Manager who brings a wealth of healthcare and human resources expertise to the Avant Business Solutions team. 

Julie started with Avant Business Solutions in June 2025 and in that time has made a significant impact with her clients through her responsive, flexible and adaptable approach to HR support. 

Julie's career journey is anything but ordinary. She began as a registered nurse before making the decision to retrain, completing a Master of Commerce majoring in HR and Industrial Relations. Since then, she has built an impressive HR career spanning a variety of senior roles, including HR Business Partner, Head of Learning and, most recently, Head of Talent Acquisition for Asia Pacific.  

Through it all, healthcare has remained close to her heart, with much of her career spent working within healthcare organisations, making Avant Business Solutions her next natural step.   

When it comes to working with her clients, Julie's philosophy is simple: be responsive, flexible and adaptable to their needs. She is always looking for opportunities to add value and find solutions that allow practices to focus on what matters most, their patients.  

Outside of work, Julie loves to hit the gym with her daughter, who’s always keeping her on track. You'll also find her outdoors (though camping is firmly off the table!) and on the netball court (still competing despite the inevitable bumps and bruises that come with the sport). Julie is a self-proclaimed soccer mum and knows that title doesn’t expire.

Fun fact: Julie made a remarkable career pivot from registered nurse to HR leader, proof that it's never too late to follow a new path!
