    Benefits

    • Up to $2 million of Trauma Cover if you are diagnosed with or suffer one of listed major health events.
    • 25% partial benefits of up to $200,000 of Trauma Cover if you are diagnosed with or suffer from one of the listed less severe health events.
    • In the event of financial hardship, you have the option to suspend premiums for up to 6 consecutive months. During this period, you do not have to pay premiums but cannot claim for events that occur during this period of premium suspension.
     
     

    Features

    • Larger cover increases, more often and without the need for medical tests. Flexibility to increase your cover by up to 25% every year for things such as starting an internship or training program, qualifying as a Fellow in your chosen specialty, becoming a partner or starting a practice, having children or taking out a mortgage.
    • Ability to claim for an unrelated trauma event, 6 months after an initial trauma claim.
    • Your full cover is reinstated six months after a claim on a linked plan for Trauma Cover or TPD Cover.
    • World wide cover – Your Trauma Cover plan will cover you 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world.

    • Choose the amount of Trauma Cover you need between $50,000 and up to $2 million.
    • Your choice of stepped or level premiums.
    • A range of ownership options to suit your circumstances including self-ownership, ownership. by partners of your practice, another individual, a company or trust.
    • You have the choice to link your Trauma Cover to Life and TPD Cover or purchase it as standalone cover.
     
     
     
    eligibility

    Eligibility for Trauma Cover

    Avant Life Insurance is available only to registered medical practitioners. If your spouse is a doctor they can also get cover. If your spouse is not a doctor AFS can help by recommending another life insurance provider.


    Eligibility

      To be eligible for Trauma Cover, at the time of application you must be:

    • an Australian resident,
    • aged between 20 to 60 years old, and
    • a registered medical practitioner.
