GST of 10% is normally payable on commercial properties. However, stamp duty may not apply depending on the location of the property.

Commercial properties in NSW[1] and South Australia[2] are exempt from purchaser duty. In the ACT, stamp duty does not apply to commercial properties with a dutiable value of $1.8 million or less[3].
