Webinar, 'From JMO to specialist - GP'

Some of the key messages from the webinar were:
- General practice can be rewarding if you enjoy diagnostic reasoning, managing complexity, and holding clinical uncertainty safely.
- General practice is not limiting. It allows you to develop areas of special interest. You can pursue additional qualifications in areas like child health, women’s health, skin cancer medicine, mental health, addiction medicine, procedural work, or academic research.
- If you already know you want to pursue general practice, try to secure rotations that align with entry requirements early in residency.
- You don’t need to have the required hospital experience before you apply or commence training.
- Throughout your training you'll be well-supported by local training teams, in-practice supervision and a robust education program.
